Hub Compatibility

Choosing the right hub is simple: first, identify your rear hub by checking axle size and cassette type (the most important part); and confirm details like spoke count and brake type.

Choose Your Rear Hub

The rear hub is the most important part of compatibility. You need to confirm two things: rear axle size and cassette type.

① Rear Axle Size

  • 12×148 Boost Most modern MTB
  • 12×142 Older MTB
  • 135 QR Old quick-release bikes
  • 157 Super Boost Enduro / DH

If you’re unsure: search your bike model + “rear axle spec”

② Cassette Type

  • Shimano HG8–11 speed / some SRAM
  • SRAM XDSRAM 11–12 speed (10T start)
  • MicroSplineShimano 12 speed

Golden Rule: Match your current cassette, not your preference.

③ Spoke Holes

  • 32H → Strong, most common
  • 28H → Lighter, performance builds

Not sure? You can find out by counting the number of your spokes.

④ Brake Interface

  • 6-Bolt → Most common
  • Center Lock → Shimano systems

Match your rotor.

Choose Your Front Hub

Front hub selection is much simpler. There is no cassette or freehub choice here — just match your fork axle size.

① Front Axle Size

  • 15×110 Boost Most modern MTB
  • 15×100 Older bikes
  • 20×110 Downhill only

If you’re unsure: search your bike model + “front axle spec”

② Spoke Holes

  • 36H → Most Strong, more common
  • 32H → Strong, most common
  • 28H → Lighter, performance builds

Not sure? You can find out by counting the number of your spokes.

③ Brake Interface

  • 6-Bolt → Most common
  • Center Lock → Shimano systems

Match your rotor.
