01Axle standard

Match the axle type and hub spacing on your frame.

Where do I find this?

Check your bike’s exact model and year, or the frame / fork specification. In 12 × 148 mm, 12 is the axle diameter and 148 is hub mounting width — not the total axle length. For QR, confirm quick release and the stated spacing.

02Spoke holes

Keeping your rim? Match its spoke-hole count.

Choose an axle standard first.
How do I check the hole count?

Check the rim specifications or count every spoke on a conventional wheel. A 32-hole rim needs a 32-hole hub. Replacing a hub requires rebuilding the wheel and recalculating spoke lengths.

03Cassette interface

Match the cassette you plan to use.

Choose a spoke-hole count first.
HG, XD or Micro Spline?

Use the exact cassette model. Examples: Shimano CS-M6100-12 → Micro Spline; SRAM PG-1230 → HG; SRAM XG-1275 → XD. Brand or speed count alone is not enough. XD and XDR are different interfaces.
